Trends (the important cultural shifts that lead to smart business decisions) are NOT the same as trendING (the relentless noisy feed fillers that fuel the algorithms and fool us into thinking something’s huge when it fizzles out overnight). Why does it matter? Trends are harder to spot than you (or your boss) probably think so understanding the difference makes all the, um, difference. Real trends are slow-moving, long-lasting, and have real impact on how we think, live, and buy.
